Bishkek City Hall proposes to raise fares for public transportation up to 20 soms. The draft resolution of the Bishkek City Council was published on the official website of the municipality.
It is proposed to set a single tariff for all types of transport: buses, minibuses and trolleybuses, regardless of ownership.
Such a price is proposed to be set also for transportation of luggage weighing more than 40 kilograms or having the size of 50×60×100 centimeters in buses and trolleybuses.
In case of fare increase, the cost of an electronic travel ticket will also increase. A standard one will cost 1,200 for a month, a school one — 430 soms.
Free travel in municipal public passenger transportation will be for:
— Old-age pensioners;
— Persons with disabilities of I, II, III groups of general disease and labor injury;
— Persons with disabilities since childhood;
— Children under seven;
— Postmen of Kyrgyz Pochtasy OJSC.
