The Vice President of the Wrestling Federation of Kyrgyzstan, Akhror Iminov, was placed in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) for two months. The Pervomaisky District Court informed 24.kg news agency.
Akhror Iminov, detained on suspicion of financing members of an organized crime group of the liquidated crime boss Kamchi Kolbaev, will be kept in custody until December 4.
He was arrested as part of a criminal case initiated under Article 261 «Creation of an organized group or participation in it» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the SCNS, the vice president of the Wrestling Federation was involved in the activities of a number of companies for the transportation and logistics of goods, and also took part in collection of the so-called tribute (approximately 30 percent of the total profit) for the general fund of the organized crime group.
