At the end of September 2023, gross international reserves of Kyrgyzstan reached $2,629.47 billion. The website of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan reports.
Over the last month, gross international reserves increased by $92.26 million. Compared to September 2022, they increased by $129.05 million, and since the beginning of the year — decreased by $168.62 million. The highest level of the reserves was in September 2021 — $3,241.14 billion.
The National Bank uses the reserves to smooth out sharp fluctuations in the foreign exchange market. Since the beginning of the year, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has conducted 12 interventions to sell dollars for a total of $610,840 million.
