The International Monetary Fund (IMF) cut its economic growth forecast for Kyrgyzstan in 2023. The October IMF Outlook says.
It is expected that the republic’s GDP will grow by 3.4 percent at the end of the year. In April, growth was forecast at 3.5 percent. At the same time, expectations for GDP growth in 2024 were revised upward — from 3.8 to 4.3 percent.
The inflation forecast was raised. At the end of 2023 it will be 11.7 percent, in 2024 — 8.6 percent. It should be noted that the price forecast has been revised upward for the second time. Last year, the IMF expected price increases of 10 and 6 percent.
