Pedestrian overpasses and two-level interchange to be built in Osh city

To resolve the issue of traffic congestion, the Osh City Hall is considering the construction of three more pedestrian overpasses and a two-level road interchange with an overhead pedestrian crossing and a pedestrian underpass. The press service of the City Hall of the southern capital of Kyrgyzstan reported.

According to it, Mayor of the city Bakytbek Zhetigenov held a visiting meeting of the technical council of the City Hall.

Road infrastructure facilities may appear at the following intersections:

• Masaliev and Monuev streets — construction of a pedestrian overpass with elements of national flavor in the form of Boz Ui.
• Shakirov, Monuev and Alimzhanov streets — construction of a road junction with a pedestrian overpass and an underpass.
• Gapar Aitiev and Kurmanjan Datka streets — construction of a pedestrian overpass.

As part of the ongoing work, the issue of expanding Monuev Street will also be considered.

«The preliminary design was prepared by the Capital Construction Department of the Osh City Hall and submitted for public discussion. This year, work on the project will be completed, and construction of the facility will begin in the spring of next year,» the City Hall added.
