Three Russian Open Education Centers opened in Kyrgyzstan

The Bashkir State Pedagogical University has launched three Open Education Centers in Kyrgyzstan. It was announced at the International Russian-Kyrgyz Teachers Forum «Looking into the Future», which was held in Bishkek.

Centers have been opened in Bishkek (at Gazprom school), Karakol (at the Issyk-Kul State University) and Batken (at Lenin secondary school). On their basis, Kyrgyzstanis will be able to improve their language proficiency free of charge and acquire new useful skills.

According to the acting head of the Center for International Cooperation of the Russian Ministry of Education, Sergei Malyshev, the Open Education Centers are additional points, on the basis of which Russian educational programs can be implemented.

These are additional bricks for the foundation of a unified educational space in Russian, which we are now building.

As the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Aigul Rysbaeva noted, the opening of centers is an opportunity for residents of Kyrgyzstan to improve their knowledge of one of the world languages. According to her, the ministry has been working with the Bashkir State Pedagogical University to support the learning of the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan since 2021.

A lot of work has been done to popularize and promote the Russian language, literature and culture in Kyrgyzstan, strengthening the position of the Russian language as a means of interethnic communication.

«The main goal of the forum is to improve the professional skills of teachers in the country’s schools in organizing the educational process,» the Deputy Minister said.
