Head of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan Kamchybek Tashiev and head of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan Saimumin Yatimov signed a protocol on delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border.
Saimumin Yatimov noted at the meeting that conflicts are always below history and any criticism.
«That is why exactly now in Batken we signed protocol No. 44. This protocol generally solves all the issues and problems that were previously the basis and prerequisite for the conflicts on the Tajik-Kyrgyz border. I declare with all responsibility that this is the implementation of the will of the heads of the two states. We are convinced that, having signed this protocol, we will purposefully and constructively implement it step by step. In a very short period of time we have come to the fundamental documents. We are proud that this protocol is the result of painstaking work of our bilateral relations and an expression of the will of our peoples to ensure peace, stability and development in our land,» he said.
In turn, Kamchybek Tashiev noted that this protocol was signed by agreement of the two sides and gives a basis to solve all border issues.
«We will soon make a final decision on determining the state borders. I thank the teams of the two sides who took part in the preparation of this decision. In addition, we have decided that our state commissions on border delimitation and demarcation will work continuously. The decisions that we have signed today give us the assurance that the border will be calm, stable and our peoples will live in friendship and harmony forever,» he stressed.
Recall, a regular meeting of delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border was held on Monday.
