Head of Emakom construction company detained in Bishkek

Director of Emakom construction company was detained on suspicion of fraud on an especially large scale in Bishkek. The press service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek reported.

According to it, a woman had previously contacted the police. She stated that on August 11, 2020, the man promised her a two-room apartment in a building under construction on Fuchik Street. He took 1.9 million soms and disappeared.

Other victims were found later. The total amount of damage is 27,092,555 soms. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 209 (fraud on an especially large scale) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The suspect was detained. He is a 32-year-old director of Emakom construction company. He was placed in the pre-trial detention center 1 in Bishkek for two months.
