Former teacher detained for fraud in Bishkek

A former teacher was detained for fraud in Bishkek. Press service of the Interior Ministry of Kyrgyzstan reported.

According to its data, a local resident turned to the police in August and said that an unfamiliar man took a Kia Sportage car worth $20,000 from him and promised to pay for it in a short time, but disappeared. It turned out that he resold the car to third parties (according to some sources for $16,000).

A criminal case was opened under Article 209 «Fraud» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The citizen, former teacher of an educational institution, was detained. He was taken into custody for two months. The investigation is underway.
