A computed tomography center was opened in Balykchi. The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, the equipment was installed in the General Medical Practice Center.
Asyl Adylbekova, deputy chief physician of the Balykchy General Medical Practice Center, noted that previously there was no CT scanner in the city and patients were forced to undergo examinations in Bishkek or Karakol.
«With the opening of the CT center, not only residents of Balykchy, but also nearby settlements of Chui and Naryn regions will be able to undergo diagnostics. Since the beginning of 2023, more than 20,000 patients have applied to us,» she said.
This center was the third to be opened under the PPP project. According to the Ministry of Health, in the near future, computed tomography scanners will be installed in three more hospitals — General Medical Practice Centers in Uzgen, Toktogul and Kadamdzhai districts.
