Man opens fire on fellow villagers in Nooken, teenager killed

A teenager died of a gunshot wound in Nooken district of Jalal-Abad region of Kyrgyzstan. The Department of Internal Affairs of the region reported.

The incident occurred on the night of August 26 in Shaidan village. One of the villagers opened fire from a hunting rifle on children gathered at the post office. The 15-year-old was fatally wounded in the head.

The incident was registered under Article 122 (murder) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. A criminal case has been opened.

The suspect is a resident of Shaidan village. He was arrested and taken into custody for two months.
