A Russian business delegation headed by Igor Maslov, Chief of the Presidential Directorate for Interregional Relations and Cultural Contacts with Foreign Countries, arrived in Kyrgyzstan. The press service of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) reports.
The delegation will go on a three-day tour of the enterprises of the southern regions of the country. The goals are to show the industry and opportunities for attracting investments and to help strengthen trade and economic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation. The tour started in Tash-Kumyr, Jalal-Abad region. This region has huge energy potential and serious opportunities in the mining industry. The Russians were presented with specific projects for the construction of a logistics center, production of electric lamps, and the opening of various industrial facilities.
«Now we are actively working on the revival of the industry that we had before. We are focused on creating competitive jobs for our citizens at home. We expect that this visit of Russian businessmen and financial institutions will be a good help for investments in Kyrgyzstan, in particular in Jalal-Abad region. Our fund, for its part, is ready to provide Russian business with maximum assistance in strengthening ties with the Kyrgyz Republic,» Artem Novikov, Chairman of the Board of the RKDF, said.
Igor Maslov noted that the trip is a kind of preparatory work for the upcoming forum, which will be held in Jalal-Abad at the initiative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
