Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Germany sign joint statement

Negotiations between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, and the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany, Annalena Baerbock, took place in Berlin on Thursday as part of a visit to Germany. The Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The Foreign Ministers discussed Kyrgyz-German cooperation, the results of the visit of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Kyrgyzstan in June, as well as the organization of high-level visits.

«The heads of the Foreign Affairs Ministries of the two countries discussed the issues of expanding economic cooperation, taking into account the upcoming second meeting of the Kyrgyz-German Business Council, scheduled for November 2023 in Hamburg, the mutual increase in trade turnover and the attraction of German investments to such promising areas as agriculture, tourism, renewable energy sources, information technology and much more,» the statement says.

As a result of the negotiations, a joint statement of intent was signed to expand cooperation between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of Germany.

The document reflects the intentions to further develop cooperation between the two countries in the field of politics, economy, investment, climate, green economy, culture and other areas.
