Journalist Olzhobai Shakir was detained for 48 hours. His lawyer Bakyt Avtandil told.
According to him, the journalist is accused of calling for active disobedience to law enforcement officers, calls for riots and attempt to seize power.
«These are baseless accusations. Olzhobai Shakir should be immediately released. Measure of restraint for him will be considered at the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek on Thursday. Some examinations were appointed. Based on the results of the examinations, a criminal case was initiated against Olzhobai Shakir,» Bakyt Avtandil said.
The journalist Olzhobai Shakir was taken for interrogation to the State Committee for National Security on Wednesday. Earlier, Olzhobai Shakir called on citizens to hold a rally. He intended to organize a protest on August 31. The journalist said that he was against transfer of four resorts in Issyk-Kul region to Uzbekistan.
