A large batch of hashish was seized in Uzgen district. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Earlier, the police opened a criminal case under the article «Illegal manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues for the purpose of sale» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
«A citizen was detained in Uzgen. During a search, 13 plastic bags were found in the detainee’s sports bag. According to the conclusion of the examination, hashish was inside the bags. The total weight of the drugs was 11,391 grams of hashish and 326 grams of opium. In addition, the suspect left a second sports bag with nine plastic bags in Karool rural area, Uzgen district. The examination showed that it was hashish, the weight of which is 8,833 grams. As a result, the weight of the seized drugs amounted to 20,224 grams of hashish and 326 grams of opium. The detainee was placed in a temporary detention center,» the ministry said.
