The Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after Gapar Aitiev in Bishkek hosts a personal exhibition of the daughter of former president of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev, artist, illustrator Aliya Shagieva «Duality: Light, Darkness and everything in between».
The exhibition features paintings and graphics reflecting different emotions, stories and experiences. According to the artist, the exhibition calls for self-reflection, getting to know yourself and reminds of the importance of observing feelings, thoughts and their causes. «By accepting ourselves, we accept the world,» Aliya Shagieva says.
The artist also noted that she wanted to cancel this event.
«I have had to bite into the opportunities, win back the solutions, be fascinated and disappointed many times. Can’t believe this is happening. Those who know me know that a lot of mystical things have happened. Some people say that the right doors always open with ease. Don’t knock where it’s closed. Actually I think that some doors are given to open them with a kick by the foot, to realize what you want sincerely. To understand what you are ready to do to achieve your goals,» Aliya Shagieva said.
