Bishkekvodokanal reconstructed 5.9 kilometers of the water supply network. Press service of the City Hall reported.
In addition, within the framework of the second phase of the project «Rehabilitation of Water Supply and Sewerage Systems», construction of a sewer collector is almost completed. At least 10.5 kilometers out of the planned 11 kilometers have been completed.
«To improve the water supply, a new pumping station of the second lift was launched at Kok-Zhar water intake with a capacity of 250-300 cubic meters per hour. Additionally, 8 valves were replaced. At least 1.3 kilometers of water supply system along Aiylchiev Street and 1 kilometer along Adyshev Street were built,» the City Hall noted.
An additional site was allocated at Bashkara-Suu water intake for drilling 5 additional wells.
«The Bishkek City Hall is carrying out phased work to approve new tariffs for water supply and sanitation (sewage) services and for the maintenance of public water supply and sewerage networks. A tariff policy is being developed taking into account the level of inflation for all consumer groups,» the City Hall concluded.
