Ten people died and 14 were injured in a road accident in Kulyab city in southern Tajikistan. RIA Novosti reported, citing the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The traffic accident occurred on Dushanbe — Kulyab — Khorog highway. Truck’s brakes failed, it rammed several cars and crashed into houses.
A criminal case was opened on the fact, a preliminary investigation is underway. The heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Committee for Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Health, the head of Khatlon region left for the scene by order of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
