Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to the UK and Northern Ireland Ulan Dzhusupov and British Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Nic Bowler visited farms in the south of England where Kyrgyzstanis work. Press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The ambassadors got acquainted with the conditions of work, life and living conditions of the citizens of Kyrgyzstan, as well as with the observance of safety rules and examined the places of harvesting and sorting.
The British side positively noted such advantages of workers from Kyrgyzstan as diligence, responsibility in work, human qualities and compliance with immigration rules.
This has a positive effect on the increase in quotas for Kyrgyzstan for organized employment for seasonal work in the UK.
In addition, the diplomats of the two countries held meetings with the owners of the farms and the British HOPS operator. Ulan Dzhusupov came up with the idea of a project to establish cooperation between farms of the Kyrgyz Republic and Great Britain. Among other things, he suggested considering the possibility of introducing British practices for growing crops, organizing production, storage, sorting and packaging. The British side expressed their readiness to consider the proposal simultaneously with the organization of agricultural practice for students of the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after Skryabin as part of the program for seasonal workers on the country’s farms.
