Lawyer of one of the defendants in the so-called Kempir-Abad case Marat Bayazov, who is being held in the pretrial detention center 1 of Bishkek, Erkin Sadanbekov, petitions for urgent hospitalization of his client. He explained to 24.kg news agency the reason.
According to the lawyer, he sent an appeal to the leadership of the State Penitentiary Service, the administration of the pre-trial detention center, the National Center for Prevention of Torture and the Ombudsman’s Institute with a request to facilitate the holding of a medical consultation to transfer Marat Bayazov to a civilian hospital for treatment.
Erkin Sadanbekov noted that his client’s health had deteriorated sharply. Chronic diseases aggravated, lymph nodes and thyroid gland became inflamed. The necessary assistance can not be provided to Marat Bayazov in the conditions of the pre-trial detention center.
The Committee for protection of Kempir-Abad reservoir was created on October 22. It includes activists, politicians and MPs. On the same day, in an interview with Kabar news agency, President Sadyr Japarov said: the authorities have information who was behind the rallies and marches on Kempir-Abad issue.
Mass arrests began on October 23. Authorities placed 27 people in jail on charges of preparing for riots.
