President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov received the Chairman of the General Council of the Liberal Democratic Party, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Japan Toshiaki Endo. Press service of the head of state reported.
They exchanged views on the state and prospects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Japan. Sadyr Japarov conveyed greetings and warm wishes to the Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida, mentioning their last meeting in Glasgow in 2021.
According to him, development of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Japan is an important factor in the development of bilateral relations. He thanked the Japanese side for the constant support for the strengthening of democracy and the social and economic development of Kyrgyzstan.
Sadyr Japarov noted the important role of the parliament members of the two countries in promoting culture, traditions and spiritual values as part of the development of public parliamentary diplomacy. He also stressed the good results of One Village — One Product project, which was given the status of a national one, and it was decided to expand it further in all regions of the country.
«Given the fact that Japan is one of the leading economies in the world, the Kyrgyz side is interested in attracting advanced technologies and innovations for the development of the national economy. I invite you to participate in projects for the construction and operation of small hydropower plants in the field of hydropower. The tourism industry also has good potential,» Sadyr Japarov said.
In turn, Toshiaki Endo conveyed invitation of the country’s leadership to Sadyr Japarov to pay a visit to Japan.
Speaking about parliamentary interaction, he added that the Japanese side was interested and ready to further develop cooperation with the Kyrgyz side, focusing on investing in human resources. In addition, the importance of cooperation in the fight against climate change was noted.
Mentioning joint projects, Toshiaki Endo outlined a project in the power industry and hope for its speedy implementation with the support of the leadership of Kyrgyzstan.
As a result of the meeting, the parties exchanged the following documents: a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan, as well as with the National Police Agency of Japan on the basic framework of information partnership for proper functioning of the system relating to foreign labor force with the status of residence «Employee with certain skills».
