Former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi dies aged 86

Former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi has died. He was 86 years old. Corriere della Sera newspaper reports.

Berlusconi died in a hospital in Milan. He suffered from leukemia and had cardiovascular system problems.

He was hospitalized on June 9. Prior to that, he was in the San Raffaele hospital for 45 days — from April 5 to the end of May. Corriere della Sera reported that he had been diagnosed with leukemia and had begun chemotherapy.
