To date, in addition to Bishkek consumers, urban water supply systems provide nine rural areas in Sokuluk and Alamedin districts of Chui region, on the territory of which 32 settlements are located, with water. Press service of the City Hall reported.
«For more than three decades, the heads of the districts in Chui region, in order to avoid social discontent among the population, have been solving drinking water supply issues on their territory at the expense of Bishkek,» the City Hall added.
The City Hall commented on the statement by the deputy of the Parliament Dastan Bekeshev that no meetings on water supply were held in the municipality, and there is no information when this problem will finally be resolved.
«Meetings of the technical council and meetings with the participation of the mayor of the capital Emilbek Abdykadyrov were repeatedly held, where instructions were given to transfer water to Archa-Beshik residential area. Within its competence, Bishkekvodokanal is taking measures to stabilize the situation,» the City Hall noted.
The unregulated growth of consumers of drinking water, improvement of living conditions, as well as the ongoing natural and climatic changes lead to a sharp decrease in the static and dynamic level of groundwater.

In addition, raids are carried out to detect irrigation of green spaces and the irrational use of drinking water during the daytime. Control schedules for the detection of unauthorized use of drinking water for May and June were approved.
At least 22,515 consumers have been checked since the beginning of the raids. At the same time, 187 violations were revealed, 171 of which were on the territory of residential areas. Acts are drawn up on the detected violations, fines are imposed.
In order to recharge the underground aquifer of water, today the Alamedin District Water Management Department is supplying water through Chon-Alysh canal with a volume of 550-600 liters per second to fill seven recharge lakes.
A water conduit with a length of 1 kilometer from South-West water intake to Adyshev Street will also be built, which will allow sending about 300 cubic meters of water to Archa-Beshik residential area, Dzhal microdistrict and the area along Sadyrbaev Street. The winner is being assessed based on the results of a tender.
There are plans to build a pumping station of the 2nd lift at Kok-Zhar water intake, which will increase the supply of drinking water to the area bounded by Skryabin, Gorky, Zhukeev-Pudovkin streets, Alamedin river, as well as Kok-Zhar and Ulan-2.
Construction of a water pipeline along Aiylchiev Street from Abdrakhmanov to Zhaiyl Baatyr in Archa-Beshik residential area is at the completion stage. This will increase the water supply to the residential area located below Zhaiyl Baatyr Street.
