Due to the difficult situation with water supply in the capital, Bishkekvodokanal is forced to stop the supply of drinking water at night in the southern part of the city. Press service of the City Hall of Bishkek reported.
«Restrictions are imposed from today and until the situation improves. Drinking water supply will be stopped from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. in the southern microdistricts of the city on the upper floors of houses and also in Yntymak, Ala-Archa residential areas. Dear citizens! We apologize, but this is a forced measure, as it is necessary to fill water reservoirs for a stable water supply of the capital,» the statement says.
The restrictions will not be imposed on healthcare facilities and other strategically important objects.
Recall private saunas, car washes and swimming pools, which consume a large amount of water, were temporarily closed because of the lack of water in the capital. In addition, temporary restrictions have been imposed on the supply of drinking water to Archa-Beshik residential area and Selektsionnoye, 105th Kontur, Salkyn-Tor, Nizhny Orok, Sary-Ozon, Plodovoe and Kaltar villages. Raids are regularly held to prevent irrigation of the adjoining land plots and gardens with drinking water during the daytime.
