At least 425 patients with hemophilia have been registered in Kyrgyzstan. Press center of the Ministry of Health reported.
About 187 out of the total number of patients are children under 16.
The ministry noted that the Minister of Health Gulnara Baatyrova met with the President of the World Federation of Hemophilia Cesar Garrido, Regional Manager of the Federation for Europe and Central Asia Karine Kocharyan and representatives of the society of patients with hemophilia in the Kyrgyz Republic. They discussed issues related to the provision of children and adults with antihemophilic factors, organization of comprehensive medical care and the possibilities for improving laboratory diagnostics.
According to Gulnara Baatyrova, the state annually purchases antihemophilic factors for patients. However, this is not enough. She thanked the Federation for the annual provision of additional factors as humanitarian assistance, which is of great importance for improving the quality of life of patients.
In addition, the head of the Ministry of Health announced additional allocation of more than 96 million soms in 2022 for the purchase of antihemophilic factors.
