«The current geo-economic world order requires us to introduce effective solutions to maintain and increase the mutual and foreign trade,» President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in an expanded format.

According to him, modern political and economic turbulence gives rise to new challenges and tests not only countries, but also integration associations. And the Eurasian Economic Union is no exception. But even in the conditions of the negative influence of external factors, the countries of the Union manage to maintain sufficient economic activity through joint efforts.

For example, according to the results of the first quarter of this year, the volume of agricultural production in the EAEU increased by almost 3 percent. The volume of construction works increased by 9 percent, and investments in fixed assets increased by 4.3 percent.

«Thanks to the well-coordinated work and interaction of our countries, we are able to successfully promote the integration agenda within the Union. Huge analytical and applied work has been done to implement the Strategic Directions of Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025. I consider it necessary to translate the existing developments and conclusions of analytical reports into a practical plane. Some of them should be reflected in the new strategy of integration cooperation for the period up to 2030 and 2045,» Sadyr Japarov said.

The head of state drew attention to the fact that the EAEU countries are laying a strong foundation for the development of industrial cooperation and import substitution. He is confident that the signing of a protocol on amending the union agreement regarding the provision of financial assistance to joint cooperation projects in industries will increase joint production, stimulate investment growth and create additional jobs.

«We must further expand the mechanism of financial assistance being created using stable sources of financing, including through the receipt of import customs duties. This tool can be used to support the implementation of cooperation projects in other sectors of the economy, for example, in agriculture, transport and logistics infrastructure, innovation and energy,» the President stressed.

As for the transport and logistics infrastructure, Sadyr Japarov focused on the need to develop a new infrastructure for transport corridors, in particular in the north-south and east-west directions.

«A list of priority infrastructure integration projects in the field of transport was approved last year. It is necessary to step up work to expand this list, taking into account long-term prospects, as well as create conditions for their successful implementation, including in terms of their financing. At the same time, I propose to pay special attention to ensuring access to transport corridors for landlocked countries of the EAEU. At the same time, in order to increase the speed of delivery of goods, I consider it important to create an ecosystem of multimodal transportation with digitization of all shipping documents,» he concluded.
