Native of Kyrgyzstan detained in Samara for distribution of drugs

Kyrgyzstani and a citizen of Uzbekistan were detained for drug distribution in Samara. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Samara Oblast reports.

«Employees of the Department for Drug Control of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Samara Oblast received operational information that two residents of Samara, natives of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, may be involved in drug trafficking. The information was confirmed during operational activities,» the statement says.

The men were detained near a gas station in Kirovsky district of the regional center. During the search in the presence of attesting witnesses, a bundle with a white substance was found and seized from one of them. Each of the detainees had photographs with the coordinates of stashes in the territory of Samara in their mobile phones. The discovered and seized stashes also contained a white substance.

Examination showed that the seized substance was heroin with a total weight of almost 310 grams. Criminal cases were initiated against the detainees. At the request of the investigating authorities, court chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention for the suspects. The investigation continues.
