President's visit to China: Agreements for $1 billion signed

Agreements worth more than $1 billion were signed as a result of the first state visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov to China. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

The following documents were signed:

  • Investment agreement between the Ministry of Energy and China Power International Development Limited on the construction of a solar power plant for 1,000 megawatts in Issyk-Kul region — €800 million;
  • Investment agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture and Hebei Bai Dou Jia LLC on the implementation of a fertilizer plant construction project — $260 million;
  • Memorandum of Understanding between the Energy Ministry and Universal Energy Co. Ltd. — $100 million;
  • Agreement on implementation of the project on filming the joint TV series «The Far Wind of the Silk Road» between the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy and Shaanxi Tianhan Shengdian Film Company Ltd. — $38 million;
  • Agreement on implementation of a project in the field of cinematography on filming the joint series «Bishkek Love» between the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy and Beijing Zhongyi Boyue Culture Media Co. — $25 million.

In addition, in the working order, the amount is specified on:

  • Agreement of intent on cooperation in the export of electricity from Kyrgyzstan to China between the Ministry of Energy and TBEA;
  • Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Energy and China Energy International Group Co. Ltd. and China Gezhouba Group International Engineering Co. Ltd.;
  • Memorandum of Understanding between the Osh City Hall and Hunan Junxin Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. on the project on construction of a waste processing plant;
  • Agreement between TNK Shumkar JSC and Xian Yuanchao on the establishment of an assembly plant for the production of heavy trucks and special purpose vehicles of SHACMAN series in Kyrgyzstan.
