Bilateral talks between Sadyr Japarov and Vladimir Putin to take place in Russia

President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, will pay an official visit to Russia on May 8 at the invitation of the Russian President Vladimir Putin. Muratbek Azymbakiev, head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, announced.

«As part of the upcoming visit, bilateral talks between the Presidents Sadyr Japarov and Vladimir Putin are planned. The leaders of the countries will discuss issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda, prospects for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation. Meetings with other officials of the Russian Federation are planned. The head of state will attend the Victory Parade as an honored guest in Moscow on May 9,» Muratbek Azymbakiev said.

The visit was announced at the end of March during a meeting of the President of Kyrgyzstan with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk.

«The fact that it is timed to coincide with the celebration of our most important common holiday, Victory Day, attaches particular importance to the visit. We always remember what contribution Kyrgyzstan made to this victory and the defense of Moscow, this is sacred to us,» the Deputy Chairman of the Russian government said then.
