Prices in Kyrgyzstan have increased by 3.2 percent since the beginning of 2023. The National Bank reported.

As of April 14, 2023, the annual inflation rate was 10.5 percent, slowing down from 14.7 percent in December 2022. A slowdown in the growth of prices for certain food products is registered. The previously adopted monetary policy measures contribute to a smooth inflation decrease.

«In general, the inflationary background in Kyrgyzstan is weakening. But high uncertainty persists in the external environment. Global inflation forecasts remain elevated, while external financial markets remain volatile. Further stabilization of the situation in the global food markets will have an impact on the slowdown in inflation in Kyrgyzstan. Internal factors related to the increase in a number of administered prices (tariffs) remain pro-inflationary. Future inflation trends also largely depend on geopolitical prospects in the world,» the National Bank notes.
