The President of Kyrgyzstan signed a law on ratification of the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the Government of Uzbekistan on cooperation in organizing the production of automotive and commercial vehicles in the Kyrgyz Republic. Press service of the head of state reported.
The law was adopted by the Parliament on March 15, 2023. The ratification of the document will make it possible to implement an investment project to organize the assembly production of passenger and commercial vehicles in the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
It is expected that the implementation of the project will give impetus to the development of the automotive industry of the republic, increase the share of industry in GDP, and renew the vehicle fleet. In addition, 2,000 new jobs will be created as well as the production of components for vehicles. This will ultimately have a positive impact on the dynamics of development of the country’s economy.
