Kyrgyzstan agrees with ASELSAN on supply of anti-drone systems

The authorities of Kyrgyzstan signed a contract with the Turkish defense corporation ASELSAN on the supply of systems to combat iHTAR unmanned aerial vehicles. Defence Turkey magazine reports.

It is noted that the contract states that ASELSAN will supply systems to neutralize the threats of mini- and micro-unmanned aerial vehicles in urban and rural environments.

The contracts were signed back in 2022 with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, Niger and Angola.

The defense system includes drones that are designed to protect critical facilities and areas with large numbers of people. The magazine reports that there are mobile and fixed versions of iHTAR.

In autumn 2022, the head of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev posted a photo next to the drone Bayraktar Akıncı on his Facebook page. He signed the photo: «Akıncı is ours. Thanks to the brotherly people».
