Suspect in murder detained when trying to flee Kyrgyzstan

A suspect in the murder, who was trying to flee Kyrgyzstan, was detained in Zhaiyl district. Press service of the Central Internal Affairs Department of Chui region reported.

«The police received a message on April 4 at about 10.40 p.m. that the body of a man aged 30-35 with signs of violent death was found in Kara-Balta near Aladdin cafe. Investigative group confirmed the version of the murder during the inspection — three stab wounds were found on the body of the deceased. The deceased was identified as 26-year-old Zh.Zh. The investigators also managed to identify the suspect — 31-year-old A.B.,» the department reported.

It also turned out that the suspect was trying to flee the country. He was moving in a Volkswagen Passat car towards Chaldovar village, located near the state border. All police departments and posts of the traffic police of Chui region were informed. The suspect’s car was stopped at 00.30 at the entrance to Chaldovar checkpoint. The detainee was placed in a temporary detention facility.

The investigation is ongoing.
