Deputy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Zhanybek Abirov gives up his seat. He announced this on Facebook.

The deputy has already sent an application to the Central Election Commission.

Zhanybek Abirov added that it was not easy to make this decision as 11,813 voters in Leninsky district of Bishkek entrusted the right to be their representative in Parliament. But after a fight with his participation, the deputy believes that he has no moral right to hold the seat.

«I emphasize once again that I am fully aware of the seriousness of what happened and I am ready to take responsibility in accordance with the law,» he wrote and apologized to Argen, his family and relatives, as well as voters and his team.

A mass brawl occurred in Bishkek on the night of March 12. Video was posted on social media. The footage shows several people exiting the cafe. Then a fight broke out between them and other men joined it. One of the fighters is MP Zhanybek Abirov. The fight and beating of the guard was reported to the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov. He instructed the Ministry of Internal Affairs to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of the incident. Despite the fact that the video shows the deputy beating the man, the police have so far detained only other participants of the brawl.
