Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of India Askar Beshimov presented his credentials to the President of the host country Droupadi Murmu. Press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry reported.
During the conversation, the parties discussed topical issues of further development of traditionally friendly Kyrgyz-Indian relations of strategic partnership.
Droupadi Murmu noted the high level of cooperation in the education sector and expressed gratitude for the creation of favorable conditions for more than 15,000 Indian students in the universities of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Askar Beshimov stressed the special importance of India in the current world political processes, taking into account the presidency of this republic of the SCO and the G20.
The parties noted that one of the main events of the current year in bilateral and multilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and India will be the visit of President Sadyr Japarov to participate in the SCO summit in July 2023.
