SCNS detains member of terrorist group

The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) detained a member of a terrorist group. He was going to leave for Syria. Press center of the SCNS reported.

According to it, the 41-year-old foreign citizen was detained while crossing the state border of Kyrgyzstan.

The detainee is an active member of a clandestine terrorist group in Russia. He arrived illegally in Kyrgyzstan in October 2022, planned to acquire a fake passport, and then travel to the zone of armed conflict in Syria.

Necessary investigative measures are being taken to identify and detain accomplices staying on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
