Women's Forum in Moscow: Aigul Japarova meets with Valentina Matviyenko

The First Lady of the Kyrgyz Republic Aigul Japarova, as part of her participation in the first Kyrgyz-Russian Forum «Dialogue between women of Kyrgyzstan and Russia for the sake of the future», met with the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko.

The parties exchanged views on issues of cultural and humanitarian development, as well as the women’s agenda.

Valentina Matviyenko noted the symbolism of the forum, which takes place shortly before the International Women’s Day on March 8. She stressed that in the current realities, the voice of a woman in the life of society should grow and this should be promoted in every possible way.

Aigul Japarova believes that the agreements reached within the framework of the Women’s Forum will serve to further strengthen the Kyrgyz-Russian friendship and will contribute to the development of multifaceted bilateral cooperation for the benefit of the two fraternal peoples.

The First Lady stressed that Kyrgyzstan highly valued the relations with Russia. The friendship of the peoples of the two countries is based on long-term trusting and good relations, proven by a long time and history.

Touching upon issues of a cultural and humanitarian nature, she noted that this year Kyrgyzstan is chairing the CIS, where this year has been declared the Year of the Russian language as the Language of Interethnic Communication. For Kyrgyzstan, the Russian language is, first of all, the key to the treasury of Russian culture, its scientific and technological achievements, as well as an opportunity to exercise the labor rights of citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Russia and familiarize Russians with the Kyrgyz culture and history.

The 95^th anniversary of the great writer Chingiz Aitmatov will be widely celebrated in 2023. In this regard, the Kyrgyz side is ready to take an active part in thematic events planned at the Commonwealth site and popularize the Russian language through the study of his works within the framework of 2023 declared in the CIS as the Year of the Russian Language as a Language of Interethnic Communication.

Aigul Japarova invited Valentina Matviyenko to visit Kyrgyzstan at any time convenient for her.

The parties agreed to use all the possibilities of the two countries for the further development of relations in a friendly and trusting manner.

Earlier, the First Lady of the Kyrgyz Republic, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AB ENERGO LLC Nikolai Korobovsky and the head of EvrAZESPROM company Ahmed Georgin signed the resolution Garden of Life, according to which a friendship park will be planted in Batken as part of the implementation of the national campaign Zhashyl Muras announced by the country’s President Sadyr Japarov.
