Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan meets with U.S. Secretary of State

As part of C5 +1 Ministerial in Astana, the head of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met with the U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

The parties discussed issues on the bilateral agenda, promising areas of cooperation, as well as joint cooperation plans for 2023, press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Kyrgyzstan reported.

They noted the possibility of strengthening trade, economic and investment cooperation. Jeenbek Kulubaev expressed interest in attracting American companies with new technologies and modern production to the areas of green economy, energy, and digitalization.

At the meeting, the parties declared their commitment to continue joint work to ensure regional stability and security in Central Asia.

The Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic thanked the U.S. side for the assistance provided in the repatriation of citizens of Kyrgyzstan from Syria, expressing hope for the completion of this process in the near future.

The American side welcomed the efforts of Kyrgyzstan to resolve issues of interstate borders as a factor in strengthening regional stability and security.

The parties discussed issues of facilitating and optimizing the process of issuance of visas to citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
