ElTR TV channel filed lawsuit against Politklinika media resource. The media outlet reported.
Earlier, the TV channel showed a story where it was said that during the presidency of Sadyr Japarov not a single loan was taken for the development of the power sector. Politklinika called this information a lie and, citing official statements, explained why.
ElTR believes that Politklinika in its review manipulated people’s minds through false information and misled citizens.
«We expect that the site will apologize for damaging the reputation of the TV channel, otherwise we are ready to sue them,» ElTR correspondent said.
Daiyrbek Orunbekov, head of the press service of the Presidential Executive Office, intervened in the situation.
«We draw attention to unreliable information regarding the activities of the president, and are ready to clarify it. This time, unreliable information was published by Politklinika media outlet. Since the information concerned the activities of the state, in order to clarify the voiced information, we turned to the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Energy and representatives of ElTR TV channel. Representatives of the site Politklinika were invited. Unfortunately, the latter did not come to the meeting,» Daiyrbek Orunbekov wrote on Facebook.
He noted that the director of Politklinika Dilbar Alimova violated the ethics of the journalist and the principle of objectivity, which involves presentation of the versions of both sides.
According to him, the media outlet should have applied to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Energy for clarification of information before claiming that during the presidency of Sadyr Japarov loans were taken from external donors for the power sector.
As a result, ElTR went to court. The channel asks to recover 10 million soms from the editorial office of Politklinika as compensation for moral damage — 7 million soms from the media outlet itself and 3 million from the journalist Tynystan Asypbek.
