«Last year, the economy of Kyrgyzstan demonstrated stability and proved to be resilient to global challenges,» the Minister of Economy and Commerce Daniyar Amangeldiev said at a meeting of the board of the ministry.
According to him, stability was ensured through prompt measures aimed at supporting citizens and businesses. At the same time, amid a decrease in aggregate income, budget expenditures were not reduced, but increased.
«Due to the increase in social benefits for vulnerable categories of the population and the wages of state employees, as a result, it was possible to increase the real monetary incomes of the population and ensure economic activity. As part of the adopted joint statement of the Cabinet of Ministers and the National Bank, we were able to maintain social and economic stability within the framework of a single policy,» Daniyar Amangeldiyev stressed.
