Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov had several meetings with the leadership of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Press service of the Cabinet reported.
He held talks with UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei and recalled that last year, during the visit of the President Sadyr Japarov to the country, an intergovernmental agreement was signed on the establishment of a joint holding. The parties are working to complete the internal procedures for this document.
Suhail Al Mazrouei, in turn, expressed satisfaction with the pace of cooperation and noted the readiness to continue developing and strengthening bilateral relations. The parties also discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation, the implementation of previously reached agreements, including the development of government accelerators and creation of a joint holding.
With the Ruler of the emirate Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Akylbek Japarov discussed the development of bilateral relations with the UAE. In particular, they discussed tourism, supplies to the emirates of organic agricultural products and mining.
In addition, Kyrgyzstan’s interest in the experience of UAE public administration was discussed at a meeting with the Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future of the UAE, Chairman of the World Government Summit Organization (WGS) Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi.
«The United Arab Emirates has a successful and at the same time unique experience in creating sovereign wealth funds, which are currently the world’s leading players. We are interested in the experience of your country in this area,» said Akylbek Japarov.
During the meeting, a presentation was made on the work carried out by the Kyrgyz side to launch the «Government Accelerators» in Kyrgyzstan, developed by the UAE government in 2016. As a result of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to organize a visit of the Emirati team of «Government Accelerators» to Kyrgyzstan in the near future.
