The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan extended the ban on the export of timber and timber products outside the Eurasian Economic Union. The corresponding resolution was signed by the head of the Cabinet Akylbek Japarov.
The ban is imposed from February 15 for six months. The decision was made in order to prevent a critical shortage of timber in the domestic market.
Kyrgyzstan already imposed such measures in August 2022.
