Kazakhstan imposes ban on export of gasoline, diesel fuel by all transport

Kazakhstan imposes a ban on the export of petroleum products for a period of four months from the territory of the republic by all types of transport. Local media reported.

According to them, the joint order «on Some Issues of the Export of Petroleum Products from the Territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan» prohibits the export of gasoline, diesel fuel and certain types of petroleum products, with the exception of lubricating oils, liquid fuel, with the exception of export in gas tanks provided by the manufacturer of motor vehicles, with the exception of aviation fuel for research work on the selection of additives.

The joint order will be put into effect 10 calendar days after the day of its first official publication.

On January 20, 2023, by a joint order of the Minister of Energy, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Chairman of the National Security Committee, the country extended the ban on the export of fuel by road for a period of six months.
