The Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (SDMK) re-announced a competition among airlines for the transportation of pilgrims. The muftiyat reported.
Based on the results of the first competition, not a single airline met the requirements of Saudi Arabia.
«Four Kyrgyz and Arab airlines submitted applications, including Flynas, which transported pilgrims in 2022, but none fully meets the requirements of the competition,» Maksat Atabaev, spokesman for the SDMK, told 24.kg news agency.
Only airlines of Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia can participate in the competition.
Earlier it was reported that Saudi Arabia allocated 6,000 quotas for pilgrims from Kyrgyzstan. The muftiyat has not yet announced the cost of the hajj in 2023.
