Earthquakes in Turkey: Embassy announces collection of humanitarian aid

The Embassy of Turkey in Kyrgyzstan announced collection of humanitarian aid for the victims of the earthquake in the south of the Republic of Turkey. Press service of the Embassy reported.

It is noted that those who wish to make in-kind donations can deliver them to the Turkish Embassy in Bishkek.

The Embassy noted that the items brought should be as new as possible and иу suitable for winter conditions. In addition to adult and children’s clothing, you can bring tents, beds, mattresses, blankets, sleeping bags, thermoses, flashlights, portable chargers.

Storable foods (canned food), baby food, diapers, cleaning and hygiene products are also needed. The Embassy asks to indicate the contents on the packages.

According to the latest data, the number of victims of earthquakes in Turkey and Syria exceeded 4,310 people. More than 2,900 people were killed, more than 15,000 were injured after the first earthquake in Turkey. More than 1,400 people died in neighboring Syria.

Two earthquakes of magnitude 7.8 and 7.5 hit southern Turkey on February 6 near Gaziantep city, where more than a million people live. Dozens of aftershocks were registered in Syria, Georgia and other countries.
