President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov expressed condolences to the head of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, over the earthquake, which caused numerous casualties and large-scale destruction in the country.
«I received the news of the death of people as a result of the earthquake that occurred on February 6, 2023 with deep sorrow. On behalf of the Kyrgyz people and on my own behalf, I express my condolences to the families and friends of the victims, I share their grief and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,» the message says.
According to the latest data, the death toll has risen to 912 people, 5,385 were injured. According to preliminary information from the Department for Prevention and Elimination of Consequences of Emergencies of Turkey, there are no citizens of Kyrgyzstan among the victims.
