Earthquake in Turkey: Headquarters formed to help citizens of Kyrgyzstan

As a result of the earthquake in seven provinces of Turkey, 76 people were killed and 440 people were injured.

According to preliminary information from the Department for Prevention and Elimination of Consequences of Emergencies of Turkey, there are no citizens of Kyrgyzstan among the victims.

The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with the Consulates General in Antalya and Istanbul, are working with the competent authorities to clarify the data on the victims and injured.

A round-the-clock operational headquarters has been formed to monitor the situation and provide consular and legal assistance to the citizens of Kyrgyzstan.

A strong earthquake of magnitude 7.4 occurred in the southeast of Turkey, as a result of which dozens of buildings in different cities were destroyed.
