Interest from Indian companies in such sectors of Kyrgyzstan as pharmaceuticals industry and processing of agricultural products has been growing. Director of the National Investment Agency, Umbriel Temiraliev, announced on Monday during a meeting of businessmen of the two countries.
According to him, the interest of Indian business in the economy of Kyrgyzstan is growing. Several meetings have already taken place recently. The Kyrgyz side is doing everything possible to attract investment. In the last two years, thanks to the reforms carried out, the republic was able to double the inflow of investments. At the same time, most of the funds were invested not in mining, but in the real sector of the economy.
«The state is ready to provide motivating tools for investors. This includes exemption from certain types of taxes, as well as access to the markets of neighboring countries,» said Umbriel Temiraliev.
More than 250 entrepreneurs from such sectors as education, healthcare, hotel and restaurant business, architecture and construction (engineering), information technology, logistics and international transportation participated in the meeting. The business program of the meeting included a wide range of issues, including the prospects for business cooperation, export promotion, regional integration and economic development.
