The shadow turnover of cryptocurrency daily ranges from $5 to $10 million in Bishkek. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov said at the annual Digital Almaty (Kazakhstan) International Forum.
According to him, the restrictions imposed on the banking sector have given a significant impetus to the development of cryptocurrency in the region.
«Our large manufacturers, the same representatives of the light industry, are using stablecoins for mutual settlements with customers and suppliers of raw materials in Russia and China,» Akylbek Japarov said.
A stablecoin is a common name for cryptocurrencies, exchange rate of which is being stabilized, for example by pegging quotes to regular currencies or commodities.
