Restoration of Batken: 35 families move into new houses

At least 35 houses restored after the invasion (of Tajikistan. — Note of 24.kg news agency) in Kyrgyzstan have been commissioned. The head of the presidential press service, Daiyrbek Orunbekov, told 24.kg news agency.

According to him, 15 more houses will be commissioned within a week.

«To date, 35 families moved into new homes. Prior to this, 45 houses were commissioned, the construction of other 15 houses will be completed within one week. A total of 100 families will move into the new homes. Construction of other houses is at the stage of completion. Completely all the houses affected by the invasion will be commissioned in March,» he said.

Shooting began at several sites of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the morning of September 16. Settlements in Leilek and Batken district came under fire. The Ministry of Health reported 206 victims, 63 people were killed. As a result of the armed conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, 420 houses of local residents were destroyed.
